The Shinobi ninja hoodie is defined by its very high crossover collar: pulled up, it covers the lower half of your face like a ninja mask; folded down, it becomes a wide scarf collar. Wide oversized fit, thick fleece, kangaroo pocket and tonal chest embroidery, in heather gray or black, from XXS to XL in EU sizes.

  • High crossover collar: worn up as a mask or folded down as a scarf collar
  • Oversized fit, dropped shoulders and roomy sleeves
  • Thick fleece with a soft inner face
  • Kangaroo pocket and tonal embroidery
  • 2 colors: heather gray and black
  • Sizes XXS to XL (EU), already converted from Japanese sizing: check the size guide below

● A collar you can wear two ways

The detail that makes it: a very high crossover collar, built from two overlapping panels. Worn up with the hood, it covers your nose and mouth and gives you the ninja silhouette you won't get from a regular hoodie.

Folded down, it turns into a wide scarf collar that protects your neck and throat, like a funnel neck. A real plus in cold weather, with no scarf needed, and the lined hood works with the collar up or down.

● An oversized streetwear fit

The cut is properly oversized in width: dropped shoulders, low armholes and roomy sleeves gathered by ribbed cuffs. In length, the ribbed hem sits at the hips and gives it a boxy, structured drape, typical of Asian streetwear.

The thick fleece holds its shape and keeps you warm, and the tonal chest embroidery stays discreet. Wear it with cargo pants or wide-leg jeans: heather gray for a softer look, black for an all-dark outfit.

● How to wear it

  • Collar up with the hood: the full ninja silhouette, face covered.
  • Collar down: a generous scarf collar, hood resting on your back.
  • With black cargo pants and sneakers, for a Japanese streetwear look.
  • Over a longline T-shirt that peeks out below, to play with lengths.

● Size guide

The Shinobi hoodie is made in Japanese sizing, which runs smaller than European sizing. The sizes you choose at checkout are EU sizes: the conversion is already done, so you can pick your usual size.

The sewn-in label shows the Japanese size, two sizes above the EU size (for example, a hoodie in EU size S has an L label): that's normal.

The measurements below are taken on the garment laid flat; the chest is the full circumference of the garment (flat width × 2).

EU sizeJapanese size (label)ChestShouldersLengthSleeves
XXSS118 cm (46.5 in)54 cm (21.5 in)65 cm (25.5 in)55 cm (21.5 in)

How to choose your size

  1. Measure a hoodie you already own, laid flat: width from armpit to armpit (× 2 for the chest) and length from the top of the shoulder to the hem.
  2. Compare with the "EU size" column in the table: the fit is very roomy in width, with a hip-length hem.
  3. Your usual EU size: oversized in width, length at the hips.
  4. Want more length or an even roomier look: size up.

Between two sizes, expect about 4 cm (1.5 in) in chest, 2 cm (0.8 in) in length and 1 cm (0.4 in) in sleeves. As the measurements are taken by hand, they may vary by 1 to 2 cm (0.4 to 0.8 in).

● Care

  • Machine wash at 30 °C (86 °F), inside out, with similar colors.
  • Do not tumble dry: dry flat in the shade to keep the collar's shape.
  • No bleach, and iron gently if needed, avoiding the embroidery.
  • Close the hood and collar before washing so they don't lose their shape.

● A piece inspired by Japan

The Shinobi hoodie takes the ninja imagination — discretion, a covered face, a dark silhouette — and turns it into something you can wear every day. It also makes a striking Japanese gift for fans of Japanese culture, manga and streetwear.

● FAQ: Shinobi ninja hoodie

Does the collar really cover your face?

Yes. The collar crosses over and sits very high: pulled up, it covers your nose and mouth, and combined with the hood it leaves only your eyes visible. Folded down, it forms a wide scarf collar around your neck.

Does the hoodie run large?

In width, yes: the fit is oversized, with dropped shoulders and roomy sleeves. In length, the hoodie sits at the hips (65 cm / 25.5 in in XXS, 75 cm / 29.5 in in XL). The sizes offered are EU sizes, already converted from Japanese sizing: take your usual size.

Which size should I choose?

The easiest way is to measure a hoodie you already own, laid flat, and compare it with the "EU size" column in the table. The garment's chest goes from 118 cm (46.5 in) in XXS to 138 cm (54.5 in) in XL, and the length from 65 cm (25.5 in) in XXS to 75 cm (29.5 in) in XL. If you want more length, size up.

Why does the label show a different size?

The hoodie is made in Japanese sizing, which runs smaller than European sizing. We show the matching EU size directly, but the sewn-in label keeps the Japanese size, two sizes above: an EU XXS has an S label, an EU M has an XL label, an EU XL has a 3XL label. You do receive the EU size you ordered.

I'm tall, which size should I get?

Your usual EU size works in most cases, since the conversion from Japanese sizing already accounts for length. If you're over 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m) or like longer hoodies, size up: each size adds about 2 cm (0.8 in) in length and 1 cm (0.4 in) in sleeve length.

Which colors are available?

The Shinobi ninja hoodie comes in heather gray and black. In both colors, the chest embroidery is tonal, so it stays discreet.

Is it warm?

Yes. The fleece is thick, the hood is lined and the crossover collar protects your throat and neck, which makes it a hoodie for fall and winter, on its own or under a jacket.

Is the hoodie unisex?

Yes. The oversized fit works for men and women alike. For women, your usual size gives a very roomy fit; one size down gives a more measured oversized look, with a length that is still sufficient.

How do I wash the hoodie?

Machine wash at 30 °C (86 °F), inside out, with similar colors. Avoid the dryer and dry it flat to preserve the shape of the collar and hood.

Can I wear the hood without the collar up?

Yes. The collar and hood are independent: you can wear the hood on its own, the collar on its own, or combine the two for the full ninja silhouette.

Is the ninja hoodie a good gift?

Yes, it is a piece that stands out, much loved by fans of Japanese culture, manga and streetwear. Heather gray goes with everything, black gives a more graphic result. For a gift, choose the recipient's usual EU size: the roomy fit leaves some leeway.

Can I return the hoodie?

Yes. You have 60 days to return your hoodie if it is not right for you or if the size doesn't fit. Shipping is tracked and our customer support team is happy to answer your questions before and after your order.
